Financial Assistance for Construction/ Purchase of Wooden/ FRP Fishing Vessel (Canoe) for Fishermen
Through this scheme, 50% of the actual cost of the Wooden/ Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Fishing Vessel (Canoe) purchased by the fishermen is covered by the Government of Goa. The applicant will be entitled to a subsidy grant once every four years on one craft per family household.
๐ค Eligibility
- The applicant should be a traditional fisherman by birth or profession.
- The applicant should be a resident of Goa.
- The applicant or any member of his household should not be a defaulter with the Directorate of Fisheries, Goa.
- The canoe purchased through the scheme should be duly registered with the Directorate of Fisheries under the Marine Fishing Regulation Act (MFR) Act 1980/ Merchant Shipping (MS) Act.
- The applicant shall not sell, lease, mortgage, or transfer the wooden/ FRP craft for 5 years from the date of purchase of the said wooden/FRP craft.
- The wooden/FRP craft purchased should have been operated exclusively for fishing purposes only.

Financial Assistance for Education (GBOCWWB)
Through the "Financial Assistance for Education (GBOCWWB)" scheme, the worker registered with the Board is provided with financial assistance, as determined by the Board, for the education of their children. The applications are accepted offline.

- The applicant should be a Worker registered with the Goa Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
- The worker should be between 18 to 60 years of age.
- The worker should have completed ninety days of service as a registered worker in the year.
- The ward of the worker should be pursuing education.

Financial Assistance for encouraging production of Traditional Khell-Tiatr
The scheme aims to encourage and preserve the traditional Khell-Tiatr folk musical drama of Goa by promoting quality productions. It offers financial assistance and infrastructure support for staging shows, including video documentation, benefiting dramatic troupes and individuals.
๐ค Eligibility
- The applicant must be a dramatic troupe or an individual producing Khell-Tiatrs.
- The Khell-Tiatr produced by the applicant should be a new or old script.
- The Khell-Tiatr produced by the applicant must conform to the traditional format of the Khell-Tiatr.
- The Khell-Tiatr produced by the applicant must be one in which just one-story flows from beginning to end with an interval of 10 to 15 minutes.
- The Khell-Tiatr produced by the applicant must have 12 to 14 cantos which are related to the theme of the play.
- Out of these cantos, at least 7 must be of an interactive nature.
- The band for the Khell-Tiatr produced by the applicant should include at least two blowing instruments, one keyboard, one bass guitar, and a drum set.
- The applicant must not have any adverse remark made in any form, either written or verbal, against any Government/Individual/Institution, etc.
- The applicant must not have anything against oneโs caste, creed, and religion which may lead to hurting of religious sentiments of anybody.
๐ Benefits
- Financial assistance (as fixed by Tiatr Academy of Goa) is provided for staging four shows.
- Payment will be made directly to the applicant after a statement of expenditure enclosing all original bills (with stamped receipts if the amount exceeds โน5,000/-) is submitted to the Tiatr Academy of Goa.
- An auditorium or hall is provided to stage the programme.
- For Village Programmes: Financial assistance (as fixed by Tiatr Academy of Goa) is provided for erecting a temporary pandal or stage, chairs, sound, etc.
- The Khell-Tiatr will be video filmed by the Tiatr Academy of Goa for its library and other uses.
- One copy of the Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) of the video-filmed Khell-Tiatr will be given to the applicant free of cost.
- The dramatic troupe will have the freedom to use the Digital Versatile Disc in any manner, but cannot make use of the logo of Tiatr Academy of Goa on the said Digital Versatile Disc.
- Ongoing Compliance regarding Content
- There must not be any adverse remark made in any form, either written or verbal, against any Government, Individual, Institution, etc., or anything against oneโs caste, creed, and religion which may lead to hurting of religious sentiments of anybody.
- If proved so, Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) reserves the right to disqualify the performance and refrain from making any payment or recall the payment if already made to the concerned.
- Show Access Obligation
- All shows must be presented to the public free of charge.
- Advertising and Branding Obligation
- In all advertisements, whether oral, print, or electronic media, banners, etc., the statement โThis programme is held in collaboration with Tiatr Academy of Goaโ must be inserted, published, or announced.
- Guest of Honour Coordination
- The organizing dramatic troupe or individual will need to discuss with Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) and decide about the Chief Guest or Guest of Honour well in advance.
- The President or Vice President of Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) will serve as the Chief Guest or Guest of Honour at the function.

The scheme โFinancial Assistance for Purchase of Fuel (Petrol) to the Fishermen for Operation of Out Board Motorsโ is a scheme by the Department of Fisheries, Government of Goa. Through this scheme, a subsidy of โน30 per Litre on a maximum consumption of 1700 Litre of Petrol is provided to fishermen.
๐ค Eligibility
- The applicant should be a traditional fisherman by birth or profession.
- The applicant should be a resident of Goa.
- The applicant's fishing canoe should be registered under the Merchant Shipping Act, of 1958 and the rules framed there under.
- The applicant should be a member of the Registered Fisheries Co-operative Societies/ Association or Individual.
- The applicant should not be a defaulter of the Directorate of Fisheries.
- The applicant should not be a violator of the Goa Daman & Diu Marine Fishing Regulation Act,1980 (Act No.3 of 1981).
- Petrol OBM (Out Board Motors) having 10HP or below should be incorporated on the Fishing Vessel/Canoe.

Through this scheme, the fisheries co-operative societies/associations registered with the Fisheries Co-operative Societies, having more than 25 members, will be eligible for financial assistance to the extent of โน50,000 as a grant-in-aid. The applications are accepted only in offline mode.

- 2. The society should produce an audited statement of accounts.
- 3. The society should employ at least one personnel for the maintenance of records.

- 5. The society should have more than 25 members.

- The applicant should have own/ leased land, adequate to set up an ornamental unit.

โFinancial Assistance for the Purchase of Lifejackets and Lifebuoys for Fishermenโ is a scheme by the Dept. of Fisheries, Govt. of Goa. Through this scheme, financial assistance amounting to โน50% is provided by the Government to eligible fishermen for the Purchase of Lifejackets and Lifebuoys.

- The applicant should possess one of the following: a Canoe Fitted With OBM; Mechanised Trawlers Engaged in Trawling or Purse Seining Operations.

Through this scheme, financial assistance is provided to eligible fishermen for the construction and renovation of the Farm, for the purchase of farming equipment, and for the purchase of feed. Only the farmers having a water spread area of 2 hectares or less can apply to this scheme.

- The farms owned by the applicant should be licensed by the Coastal Aquaculture Authority.
