One Time Settlement (O.T.S.) Scheme

"One Time Settlement (O.T.S.) Scheme" aims to recover outstanding electricity dues from defaulting consumers by offering a waiver of delayed payment charges. Beneficiaries can pay only the principal amount in a lump sum, applicable to consumers with arrears up to โ‚น20,000/- as of 31-3-2008.

All delayed payment charges, including 18% interest, will be waived off for consumers whose cases are referred to the Revenue Recovery Court (R.R.C.) from the date of referring the case till the date of realization of outstanding dues.

๐Ÿ‘ค Eligibility

  • The scheme is applicable to defaulting consumers in the categories of LIG (Low-Income Group), Domestic, Agriculture, Small Commercial, and LTP (Motive Power).
  • Consumers with accumulated arrears of up to โ‚น20,000/- as of 31-3-2008 are eligible.
  • The scheme is applicable to consumers whose installations are temporarily or permanently disconnected as of 31-3-2008 for non-payment of outstanding arrears.
  • Consumers whose cases have been referred to the Revenue Recovery Court (R.R.C.) are also eligible.

๐ŸŽ Benefits

  1. Step 1: Eligible consumers should apply to the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer of the Electricity Department in the prescribed format . Submit the application along with a Demand Draft (D.D.) or Pay Order of โ‚น100/- in favour of the Chief Electrical Engineer.
  2. Step 2: The Sub-Divisional Officer will communicate the total finalized amount of the bill and the last date of payment to the consumer. The consumer must pay the finalized amount in one lump sum within one month from the date of communication.
  3. *The โ‚น100/- deposited along with the application will be adjusted against the energy bill to be settled under the scheme.
  4. *For consumers whose cases have been referred to the Revenue Recovery Court (R.R.C.), the Assistant Engineer will approach the concerned Mamlatdar for withdrawal of the case upon full settlement of the bill.
  5. *If the consumer backs out from the scheme or fails to pay the finalized amount within the specified period, the โ‚น100/- will be forfeited to the Government.
  6. Billing Dispute Redressal
  7. In cases where the break-up of actual energy charges and delayed payment charges (D.P.C.) are not available with the Sub-Divisional Office, the case shall be referred to the Billing Dispute Redressal Committee for amicable settlement.

Oral Documentation of History of Tiatr

The scheme aims to preserve the oral history of tiatr for future generations through documentation of veteran artistes' experiences. It provides video recording and remuneration to eligible veteran tiatr artistes.

Financial Benefits

๐Ÿ‘ค Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a veteran artist who has contributed to the development of Tiatr.
  • The applicant must be a script writer, director, actor, singer, musician, backstage artiste involved in stage setting, light effects, background music, costumes, make-up, or those involved in organizing tiatrs.
  • The applicant must have made at least 20 years of contribution to the Konkani stage.
  • The applicant who is a writer or director must have scripted at least 15 tiatrs.
  • The applicant who is other than writer or director must have participated in at least 20 tiatrs.
  • Preference, Selection and Implementation
  • At least five artistes will be considered for documentation in a financial year.
  • Artistes will be selected by the Managing Committee of Tiatr Academy of Goa.
  • Preference will be given to old and sick artistes.

The "Out of School Children" scheme is designed to ensure that every child in the 6-14 age group receives a complete elementary education. The primary objective is to identify children who are out of school and to reintegrate them into the educational system through specialized training programs.

Sanctions are granted to the NGOs for providing special training in the centre as per the norms of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

The objective of the "Patent Filing Reimbursement Scheme" is to provide Patent Filing Reimbursement to the eligible Information Technology Units in the State of Goa. A total reimbursement of up to โ‚น 25,00,000 per unit for the expenses incurred towards the filing of patents during the policy period.

  • 2. The applicant must be one of the below:
  • Proprietorship Firm
  • Private Limited Company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (or equivalent)
  • Public Limited Company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (or equivalent)
  • Registered Partnership Firm incorporated under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932 (or equivalent)
  • Limited Liability Partnership incorporated under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (or equivalent)
  • 3. The bank accounts of the unit and/or its partner(s)/director(s) should be linked to Aadhaar.

  • A total reimbursement of up to โ‚น 25,00,000 per unit for the expenses incurred towards the filing of patents during the policy period.
  • This incentive shall be provided in the form of reimbursement of up to โ‚น 2,50,000 for every successful domestic patent, and up to โ‚น 5,00,000 for every successful international patent.
  • NOTE 1: The benefits under this scheme are subject to budgetary allocation. No Promissory Estoppel shall be applicable if benefits are discontinued in case the allocation is exceeded.

Power Subsidy Scheme

Launched in 2018, the objective and the scope of the "Power Subsidy Scheme" of the Dept of IT, Govt of Goa, is to provide Power Subsidy to the eligible Information Technology Units in the State of Goa. All the New and Existing Units having their operations in Goa are eligible for this scheme.

20% subsidy on power bills (on the power charges, excluding any duty and taxes, but not on the total bill), subject to a maximum of โ‚น 5,00,000 per annum per Unit whichever is lower.

๐Ÿ‘ค Eligibility

  • 1. All the new and existing units must have their operations in Goa.
  • 2. The applicant must be one of the below:
  • Proprietorship Firm
  • Private Limited Company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (or equivalent)
  • Public Limited Company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (or equivalent)
  • Registered Partnership Firm incorporated under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932 (or equivalent)
  • Limited Liability Partnership incorporated under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (or equivalent)
  • 3. The bank accounts of the unit and/or its partner(s)/director(s) should be linked to Aadhaar.

๐ŸŽ Benefits

  • 20% subsidy on power bills (on the power charges, excluding any duty and taxes, but not on the total bill), subject to a maximum of โ‚น 5,00,000 per annum per Unit whichever is lower.
  • The subsidy will be provided for a period of 3 years from the date of commencement of operations or from the date of notification of this policy whichever is later.
  • NOTE 1: The benefits under this scheme are subject to budgetary allocation. No Promissory Estoppel shall be applicable if benefits are discontinued in case the allocation is exceeded.
  • NOTE 2: Only expenditure incurred during the operation of the Policy will be eligible for the rebate.

๐Ÿ“‹ How to Apply

  1. Step 1: Visit the Official Web Portal of Goa Online. At the top right corner, click " Register ".
  2. Step 2: On the next page, verify your Email ID and Mobile Number using OTP. You will be redirected to the Registration Page.
  3. Step 3: On the Registration Page, fill in all the mandatory fields of the registration form. Create a Login Name and a strong Password. Carefully read the Declaration and the Terms & Conditions, and tick the checkboxes. Fill in the Captcha Code, and click "Register/Signup".
  4. Step 4: Login to the website using your Login Name and Password. Fill in the Captcha Code, and click "Login".
  5. Step 5: In the top ribbon, click on "Services", then click on " IT Services ". Click on the name of the scheme. You will be taken to the application form for the scheme. Fill in all the mandatory fields and upload all the mandatory documents.
  6. Step 6: Submit the application. A unique registration number will be generated. Note this number for future reference.
  7. NOTE: The applicant can apply for this scheme on a quarterly/bi-annually/annual basis after incurring the relevant expenditure.

Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme (Saral Vidya Sahay) for SC and OBC (V to VIII)

"Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme (Saral Vidya Sahay) for SC and OBC (V to VIII)" was introduced by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to support parents of children belonging to Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes for the education of their wards.

1. As per "Stipend under Saral Vidya Sahay Scheme"

๐Ÿ‘ค Eligibility

  • The applicant should be studying in classes 5th to 8th on a full-time basis.
  • The applicant should belong to a Scheduled Caste or Other Backward Class.
  • The applicant's parent/guardian's annual income should not exceed โ‚น1,20,000/-.

๐ŸŽ Benefits

  • 1. As per "Stipend under Saral Vidya Sahay Scheme"
  • โ‚น325/- per month for 11 months (โ‚น3,575/- per annum)
  • 2. As per "Meritorious Scholarship Scheme"
  • For Classes 5th to 6th: โ‚น900/- per annum
  • For Classes 7th to 8th: โ‚น1,000/- per annum

  1. For Registration
  2. Step 1: Visit the Official Website of the Chief Minister Scholarship Portal, Government of Goa.
  3. Step 2: At the top right corner of the landing page, click "Register". You will be taken to the registration page .
  4. Step 3: On the registration page, under the "Student Registration" section, click "Click Here".
  5. In the Student Registration Form, fill in the following fields:
  6. Student's Name, Gender, Category, Date of Birth (DD-MM-YYYY), Aadhaar Number, House Number, Waddo/Street, Village Panchayat/Municipality, District, Taluka, Assembly/Constituency, City/Town/Village, PIN Code, Mobile Number, Email ID.
  7. Step 4: Create a password ranging between 8 to 15 characters and confirm the same.
  8. Step 5: Click "Register" and then click "Yes" to the Confirmation Popup.
  9. For Application
  10. Step 1: Upon successful registration, visit the Official Website of the Chief Minister Scholarship Portal, Government of Goa.
  11. Step 2: At the top right corner of the landing page, click " Login ".
  12. Step 3: On the login page, fill in your username, password, captcha code, and click "Login".
  13. Step 4: Upon logging in, a list of eligible schemes will be displayed. Click the scheme that you intend to apply for.
  14. Step 5: In the "Apply" section on the side navigation bar, click "Fresh Application".
  15. Step 6: Fill in all the mandatory fields of the Application Form and upload all the required documents in the specified format and size and click "Submit".
  16. Post Application Process
  17. 1. After successful submission of the application, your school/institution will verify the application and submit it to the directorate for further scrutiny.
  18. 2. In case of an issue in the application form or documents uploaded, the school/institution can send back the application to the student for necessary corrections and resubmission.
  19. Track Your Application
  20. Step 1: In the side navigation bar, click " Track Application ".
  21. Step 2: On the next page, provide your Aadhaar Number and Date of Birth, and click "Submit".

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for the Children of Parents/Guardians Engaged in Unclean and Hazardous Occupations - Goa

The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to children whose parents belong to Other Disadvantaged Categories, supporting their education at pre-matric level. This initiative seeks to enhance student participation & reduce dropout rates, particularly during the transition from primary to upper

๐Ÿ‘ค Eligibility

  • 1. The applicant should be a student.
  • 2. The applicant should be a resident of Goa.
  • 3. The applicantโ€™s parents/guardians should be engaged in an unclean or hazardous occupation.
  • 4. The student should be studying in Class I to X on a full-time basis.
  • 5. Scholarship will be admissible to the children/wards of parents/guardians who, irrespective of their caste/religion belong to one of the following categories:
  • Persons who are Manual Scavengers as defined under section 2(I) (g) of Manual Scavengers Act 2013
  • Tanners & Flayers;
  • Waste pickers and
  • Persons engaged in hazardous cleaning as defined in Section 2(1) (d) of Manual Scavengers Act 2013 . For the purpose of classification in this category, the eligible candidates will be required to submit a certificate from District Social Welfare officer/ identified officer of Local body/ Civic Agency/any such authority as designated by the State Government.
  • 6. There is no family income ceiling under this component of the Scheme.
  • 7. A scholarship holder under this scheme will not hold any other educational scholarship for the purpose of studying in class I to X. If awarded any other educational scholarship for studying in classes I to X, the students can avail of either of the two scholarships as per his/her choice and should inform the awarding authority to the Head of the Institution about the option made.

๐ŸŽ Benefits

  • Assistance:
  • With effect from 2022-23, the students shall be given a consolidated academic allowance, as follows:
  • Day Scholar: โ‚น3,500/- per annum
  • Hosteller: โ‚น8,000/- per annum (For Class III-X)
  • Note: In addition, a 10% extra allowance shall be given to Divyang (Disabled) students. The disability as defined under the relevant Section of Right of the persons with Disability Act, 2016. The appropriate Government shall designate persons, having requisite qualifications and experience, as certifying authorities, who shall be competent to issue the certificate of disability.

  1. Step 1: Visit the Official Website https://cmscholarship.goa.gov.in/
  2. Step 2: Click on Registration. After Landing on the Registration Page, Select Student Registration and Click on โ€œClick Hereโ€ to proceed.
  3. Step 3: Fill out the Student Registration Form to Register yourself (one-time registration) with your basic details.
  4. Step 4: Login using the user ID and password shared after the registration process (through SMS).
  5. Step 5: After Registration, Apply for the scheme you are eligible for (as per the category selected by the student, a list of eligible schemes will be shown after they log in)
  6. Step 6: Upload all required documents.
  7. Step 7: Submit to School/Institution.
