Tiatr Script Writing Workshop
The scheme's objective is to enrich and promote the writing skills of Tiatr playwrights and to have a healthy and constructive discussion on various aspects of Tiatr script writing amongst the Tiatr writers, participating institutions and artistes. Lunch & refreshments are provided to participants.

- All the Goan tiatr playwrights, artistes and institution representatives, besides experts invited by Kala Academy, are eligible.

Tourist Guide Certification Scheme
The scheme aims to train and certify Goan youth as tourist guides through Basic and Advanced modules. It reimburses fees for the Basic course and sponsors the Advanced curriculum, creating employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in Goaโs tourism sector.
๐ค Eligibility
- The applicant must be a person of Goan domicile.
- The applicant must be between 18 and 40 years of age.
- The applicant must have passed 10 + 2 (or equivalent) examination from any recognised board in India.
- The applicant must have successfully completed the IITF (Basic) Certification Programme of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
- The applicant must not belong to SC/ST category for claiming reimbursement (as these categories are already fee-exempt under IITF).
- The applicant must register with the Department of Tourism, Goa after completion of the Advanced Tourist Guide Curriculum to be recognised as a certified guide.
- Existing tourist guides registered with DOT before the publication of this scheme are eligible only for the sponsored Advanced Tourist Guide Curriculum.

- Reimbursement of the fee paid by the participant for the Incredible India Tourist Facilitator (Basic) Certification Programme (IITF Basic) conducted by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
- SC/ST category candidates are already exempted from payment of registration fees under the IITF programme and therefore are not eligible for reimbursement under this scheme.
- Sponsorship of the Advanced Tourist Guide Curriculum developed by the Department of Tourism, Goa, covering local history, heritage, culture, tourist destinations, soft skills, and etiquette.
- On completion of the Advanced Tourist Guide Curriculum, the Department of Tourism awards a Tourist Guide Certificate.
- Participants may optionally pursue Foreign Language Courses after certification at their own cost.
- Existing tourist guides registered with the Department of Tourism as on the date of notification may register for the Advanced Tourist Guide Curriculum at no cost.
- Examination fee of โน 500 for the IITF Basic course shall be borne by the candidate.
๐ How to Apply
- Step 1: The applicant shall register for the Incredible India Tourist Facilitator (Basic) Certification Programme offered by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
- Step 2: After successful completion of the programme, the applicant must download the completion certificate and retain the fee receipt or challan. The applicant shall fill in the Reimbursement Application Form available at the Office of the Department of Tourism, Goa, and submit it along with the required documents.
- Step 3: The Department of Tourism verifies the documents and details submitted by the applicant. After verification, the Department of Tourism reimburses the IITF (Basic) Course Fee through the applicantโs bank account.
- Step 4: After completion of IITF (Basic), the participant shall register for the Advanced Tourist Guide Curriculum offered by the institution engaged by DOT. Upon successful completion of the Advanced Tourist Guide Curriculum, the Department of Tourism will award a Tourist Guide Certificate to the participant.
- Step 5: The participant shall download the Registration Form from www.goatourism.gov.in, fill it out, and submit it to DOT along with the documents required for registration.
- Step 6: After registration, the certified tourist guide may opt for one or more foreign language courses at their own expense to enhance employability.
Trademark Reimbursement Scheme
โTrademark Reimbursement Schemeโ is a part of the Start-up Policy 2017. For start-ups that have successfully entered the production/service delivery phase, and want to trademark their company name and logo, 50% of the cost of trade-mark registration of their company name and logo will be reimbursed.
๐ค Eligibility
- The applicant should be a startup certified by the Startup Promotion Cell (SPC).
- The applicant should have a valid start-up certificate number.
- The startup must have successfully registered its trademark.
- NOTE: Only expenditures incurred after notification of Goa Start-up Policy 2017, being within the validity of this policy and paid for digitally would be considered for reimbursement under this scheme. If digital payments are not possible then it shall be up to the decision of SPC based on its due diligence to admit the expenditure.

- Reimbursement
- For start-ups that have successfully entered the production/service delivery phase, and want to trademark their company name and logo, 50% of the cost of trade-mark registration of their company name and logo will be reimbursed up to โน 25,000/-.
- Number of Slots
- The benefits of this scheme can be availed by up to 200 applicants per year who shall be selected by the SPC as per its guidelines.
- Disbursal
- Once the application is approved by the SPC, the approved amount shall be disbursed within 60 days from the date of approval.
- NOTE: Under no circumstance shall the benefits under this scheme be considered an entitlement. The SPC shall reserve the sole right to accept/reject applications.

- The applications received by the SPC shall be evaluated and approval or rejection shall be notified within 45 days from receipt of the application by the SPC.
Travel Grants To Goan Authors
The objective of the scheme is to enable the Goan writers to come in close contact with the senior writers of a language-region other than their own within India to acquaint them with the writers and the people of that region, and to widen their awareness and sensibility about the country.

- The grant amount will be decided by Kala Academy with provision for an advance upto 75% of the total grant for a maximum of two Goan authors.

- Step 1: The entries are invited by releasing press announcements in local print and electronic media. The announcement consists of the proforma prescribed by the Kala Academy for application to the scheme.
- Step 2: In the provided entry form, the interested applicant should fill in all the mandatory fields and attach copies of all the supporting documents.

Tribals Development Plan: Motor Driving Training [Light & Heavy Vehicles]
The scheme aims to provide full financial coverage for motor driving training, including courses for Light Motor Vehicles and Heavy Motor Vehicles, specifically recognizing Goaโs future in the transport sector. It benefits eligible Tribal families in Goa whose annual income is below โน1,20,000/-.

- The applicant must be a resident of Goa.
- The applicant must belong to one of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities notified in Goa, i.e. Gawda, Velip, or Kunbi.
- The applicant must be part of a tribal household identified under the Tribals Development Plan.
- The applicantโs family must fall under either:
- (a) the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, or
- (b) the non-BPL category with annual income < โน1,20,000/-.

- The Government will provide the cost of the training entirely, covering 100% of the training fee.
- For Light Motor Vehicle training, the proposed financial outlay per beneficiary is โน3,000/- (Indian Rupees three thousand).
- For Heavy Motor Vehicle training, the proposed financial outlay per beneficiary is โน4,000/- (Indian Rupees four thousand).
- The assistance is provided for training in both Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV).
- It is targeted that 400 persons (200 for LMV and 200 for HMV) will be provided this assistance in a financial year.

This sub-scheme aims to empower Scheduled Tribe (ST) families by providing financial assistance to purchase tourist taxis for self-employment in Goaโs growing tourism industry. It supports tribal households in transitioning from traditional occupations to sustainable livelihood opportunities.

- The applicant must belong to one of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities of GoaโGawda, Velip, or Kunbi.
- The applicant must be a resident of Goa.
- The applicantโs annual family income must be less than โน1,20,000/-.
- The applicant must be part of a tribal household identified under the Tribals Development Plan.
- The applicantโs family must fall under either:
- (a) the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, or
- (b) the non-BPL category with annual income < โน1,20,000/-.
- The applicant must intend to use the vehicle for self-employment in the tourism/transport sector.
- The applicant must possess or obtain a valid driving licence and vehicle registration documents prior to benefit disbursal.

- For BPL families: A total subsidy of โน25,000/-, comprising โน10,000/- from the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) under the Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) and โน15,000/- from the Directorate of Social Welfare (DSW).
- For non-BPL tribal families (with annual income < โน1,20,000/-): A subsidy of โน15,000/- from DSW.
- The subsidy is a one-time financial assistance towards the cost of purchasing a tourist taxi for livelihood use.
- Target Beneficiaries per Year: 50 tribal households.
- *The vehicle must be registered and operated as a tourist taxi under applicable transport regulations.
- *The vehicle must be used solely for livelihood/self-employment by the beneficiary.
- *The subsidy is non-recurring and can be availed only once per household.
- *Misuse or transfer of vehicle ownership within the benefit period may lead to withdrawal or recall of the assistance.

The scheme aims to attract tourists with better quality mechanized Tea and Coffee shops and tender coconut water parlors, as Goa is a tourist destination, ensuring better hygiene than other restaurants. The scheme provides entire project financing for establishing a parlor.

- The applicant must be a resident of Goa.
- The applicant must belong to one of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities notified in Goa, i.e. Gawda, Velip, or Kunbi.
- The applicant must be part of a tribal household identified under the Tribals Development Plan.
- The applicantโs family must fall under either:
- (a) the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, or
- (b) the non-BPL category with annual income < โน1,20,000/-.
๐ Benefits
- Provision of the entire project financing for establishing a Tea/Coffee and Coconut Parlor, with a project cost of about โน25,000/- to โน30,000/-.
- The beneficiary will be rewarded with the entire amount deposited if they successfully deposit the aforesaid amount.
- Conditions
- *The beneficiary has to deposit 50% of the total project cost to the Department.
- *The deposit must be paid in 36 installments.
- *The required deposit must be completed within a period of three years.
- *If the beneficiary fails to deposit the amount or installments in time for three consecutive months or defaults for more than 3 times, their right to ownership will be suspended until the entire amount is paid.
- *If the beneficiary fails to repay the amount for six months, the same will be forfeited in favor of the Government.

The scheme aims to recognize and award women and girls in the State of Goa who have shown exceptional bravery and courage against atrocities, violence, and/or harassment. It provides a cash prize of โน20,000/- and a scroll/citation to two awardees annually.

- The applicant must have shown exceptional bravery and courage.
- The applicant must have acted against any type of atrocities, violence, and/or harassment against themselves or against any other woman or girl.
- The actions must have taken place at home, in the workplace, or anywhere in the public domain.
- The applicant must have fought for their respect and dignity in society.

- A cash prize of โน20,000/- is provided to each selected awardee.
- A scroll/citation is provided to each selected awardee.
- The award is conferred on Republic Day, which is the 26th of January, every year.
- The award is restricted to only two persons annually.

- Applications are reviewed and selected by the State Level Selection Committee constituted specifically for the "Veerjyoti Puraskars". This committee includes the Secretary (Women and Child Development) as Chairperson and the Director (Women and Child Development) as Member-Secretary.
- The "Veerjyoti Puraskars" are officially conferred upon the two selected awardees annually on Republic Day, which is held on the 26th of January each year, starting from 2016.
Visit to Old/Sick Artistes
The scheme aims to make our younger generation aware of the contribution and sacrifices of Tiatr artistes of yesteryears. TAG has formulated this scheme so that occasional visits to these veteran artistes will make them feel that TAG cares for them during their old age.
๐ค Eligibility
- 1. TAG will identify the sick/old tiatr artistes based on reports from the fraternity.
- 2. The artistes who have contributed at least 10 years towards tiatr (Commercial or Non-commercial) /khell tiatr/ khell or the writer/director who has staged at least 10 tiatrs (Commercial or Non-commercial) /khell tiatr/ khell will be eligible.
- 3. Members of tiatr fraternity must visit these sick/old artistes at their residences or if admitted, visit the hospital and inquire about their health.

- TAG will provide the vehicle or travelling allowance to travel and refreshments/working meal to the members who volunteer to visit the old/sick artistes.

Young Achievers Awards
The scheme aims to recognize young talented artistes who have contributed and continue to work for the development of tiatr, its song and music, and have enriched Konkani Tiatr and Song through All India Radio, Doordarshan and other platforms at national and international levels.
๐ค Eligibility
- The applicant must be not more than 35 years of age.
- The applicant must have contributed in the field of tiatr for at least 10 years.
- The applicant must have performed in at least 15 tiatrs.
- The applicant's contribution should be considered in areas such as acting, script writing, directing, singing, lyricist work, set designing, etc.
- Relaxation
- The age limit may be relaxed if the health of the artiste is not well.
- Selection Criteria
- The applicant's contribution as an actor, script writer, director, singer, lyricist, set designer, etc.
- The applicant should have received or won any awards in his/her field.
- The applicant should have done any innovation on the tiatr stage.
- The applicant, if a singer/musician, should have songs recorded on Compact Discs, Digital Versatile Discs, All India Radio, Doordarshan, online, etc.
- The applicant should have acted/directed/sung/composed music/composed lyrics/designed sets/provided background music/designed light effects for dramas in other languages or in films.
- The applicant, if script writer or lyricist, should have published any books of his/her scripts/lyrics.
- The applicant, if a writer/director, should have written/directed at least 7 tiatrs.
- The applicant's contribution in acting/singing/providing live music/stage setting/background music, providing lights, as a makeup artiste should be at least for 10 years and should have performed in at least 15 tiatrs.

- Award Components: The Young Achievers Award consists of a memento, a Citation and a Cash Burse as fixed by Tiatr Academy of Goa.
- Recognition Ceremony: Selected artistes are honoured at a special function on 16th November on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Regina Fernandes, the First Lady of the Tiatr Stage.
- Annual Awards: The award is given to a male and a female artiste every year.
- *The selected artistes must be compulsorily present in person to receive the award.

- Selection for Young Achievers award is done through recommendation from individuals/institutions and also through advertisements in local newspapers. However, the Executive Board may also select the deserving artistes from outside the recommended list.

- Both the applicant and recommender must sign the application form. The applicant must declare that they have read and understood the rules and that all information provided is true to the best of their knowledge.
- Selection Process
- The Executive Board will evaluate applications based on the stated criteria and may also select deserving artistes from outside the recommended list. Selection considers years of service, awards received, innovations, recordings, publications, and overall contribution to tiatr.
Yuva Srujan Puraskar (Navsarjan Chetana Puraskar)
The scheme "Yuva Srujan Puraskar (Navsarjan Chetana Puraskar)" is designed to honour the young Goan individuals who have excelled in the field of Art and culture in Goa. The scheme intends to give recognition to young artists par excellence for their outstanding achievements.
๐ค Eligibility
- The applicant should be an individual artist.
- The age of the applicant should be between 25 and 40 years. Only in exceptional cases, the minimum & maximum age could be relaxed by upto 5 years.
- The applicant should have given extraordinary contributions in the field of Art and culture at large in his/ her respective field of art in specific.
- The applicant should have contributed to his/her respective field of art in Goa for a minimum 5 years out of his/her career as a
- practising artist.
- No award will be presented posthumously under this scheme. However, during the selection process if the death of any artist occurs after the recommendation of his name then the Task Force Committee may consider his name for the award, in such circumstances, the award will be presented posthumously.

- A memento, certificate of appreciation and financial purse to the extent of โน 25,000/- per individual.
